The Board of Trustees of Kerr-Vance Academy is delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs. Alison Short as our new Head of School.

Mrs. Short served as the KVA Assistant Headmaster for thirteen years, and then last summer, took on the role of Interim Headmaster.  After incorporating input from KVA teachers, staff, and families, the Board was unanimous in the decision to appoint Mrs. Short as the next Head of School.

Her dynamic leadership, expertise in education, and deep understanding of our school’s history and ethos is exactly what we need to build on the successes of KVA and lead KVA into the future.   She is actually an alumna of Vance Academy herself.

I know I speak for our whole school community as we thank Mrs. Short for her steady yet resourceful guidance during this challenging time, and we congratulate her on this new position.
