Community Support is the Heartbeat of KVA
The Power of Our People: Community Support is the Heartbeat of Kerr-Vance Academy
At Kerr-Vance Academy, we believe education is more than books and tests—it’s about people. Our story, now approaching 60 years strong, is one of tradition, excellence, and the power of community. We are a small school with a big mission, and that mission thrives because of the unwavering support of our families, grandparents, alumni, and friends.
Each day on our campus, you can feel the heartbeat of that support. It’s in the warm smiles at morning drop-off, the volunteers who show up rain or shine, and the proud faces in the crowd at every Grandparents day, field trip, game, and graduation. Our school would not be what it is without this web of connection and generosity.
We are proud to share that our K-12 program has once again been recommended for full accreditation renewal, continuing a legacy of excellence that has endured for over five decades. This recognition affirms the high standards and deep care we pour into every part of the KVA experience.
Even more exciting: our Early Learning Center (18 months–4 years) has been recommended for its own separate accreditation by Cognia! This milestone sets us apart—not only in Vance County, but in the entire region. It means that from their earliest days, our youngest Spartans are being set on a path toward lifelong learning and college preparedness. That’s a powerful promise we make to every family who walks through our doors.
And if you want to see the result of years of dedication, look no further than our recent Junior/Senior Prom. These students—many of whom have been with us since kindergarten or earlier—are the embodiment of what KVA stands for. They are respectful, kindhearted, thoughtful young adults graduating with confidence and options. They are the kind of people we all hope our children become. They are the “final product” of a community that believes in them and has invested in their journey.
But we cannot do it alone.
To continue this tradition of excellence, we need you. And not just your financial support—but your presence, your joy, your laughter.
That’s why we’re so excited to invite you to the 3rd Annual Reverse Raffle—a night that isn’t just about raising funds. It’s about gathering under one roof as one community. Parents, grandparents, alumni, teachers, and friends—sharing stories, catching up, laughing together, smiling together. It’s about celebrating what we all have in common: our love for Kerr-Vance Academy and our shared commitment to providing an exceptional learning experience for every student.
There’s something incredibly special about seeing the whole KVA family together in one place. Whether you’ve been part of the school for decades or just joined this year, you’re a part of something meaningful and enduring. This event is your chance to reconnect, to have fun, and to be reminded of the beauty and strength of this community.
