The NC Opportunity Scholarship Program, Disability Grant, and Education Savings Program portals opened February 1, 2021 for applications towards the 2021-2022 school year.
2021-22 New Student Applications
Applications for all three K12 Programs opened February 1:
• None of the programs make awards on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Families are advised to apply in February, but should not stress about applying on the opening day (February 1).
• There is no advantage in any of the three programs for students on applications submitted on February 1 over February 15, for example.
Disability Grant and Education Savings Account Programs
New student applications opened February 1, 2021 and close March 15, 2021.
NC Opportunity Scholarship Program
New student applications opened February 1, 2021. The priority window closes March 1, 2021. The application will remain open until August 31, 2021 for students to be considered for the full 2021-22 school year, as funds remain available.
